I’m very pleased to, well, brag that Sisu, Inc has made the finalists for a Webby Award for Sony.com in the category of “Best Home/Welcome Page.”

For the unitiated (read: those with non internet-centric lives, yes, I know some of you), the Webby Awards are sort of like the Academy Awards for the Internet. From their site, “The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities.” It’s kind of a big deal.

And we made it to the top five finalists in the category of Best Home/Welcome Page for www.sony.com. We’re super proud of this site – it runs on a home-rolled PHP-based Content Management System and manages to cram 270+ links onto a rather deceptively clean page. We do a lot of things here, but this has been our baby for a while.

….and our baby is competing against the NY Times. eep

So, we need some help. We’re a team of six here, and up against some really huge players. The official award will be decided by the committee, but the People’s Voice selection is up to you!
